We Can See God’s Glory

Down in Bethlehem
A Savior and a Prophet born today.
Shepherds worship Him,
And wise men watch a star to find their way.
Herod tried to kill God’s one begotten Son,
But many worshiped when they saw
That precious holy one.
He is creator, God,
Come in the flesh to be
The sacrificial Lamb of God,
To set His people free.

We can see God’s glory;
We are walking now with Christ the King.
As we see Him heal the wounded,
As we hear the broken-hearted sing.
We can see God’s glory;
He, who once was dead, became our Life.
We will seek His face more strongly;
We have touched the Kingdom, Jesus Christ.

There He is the man,
A Teacher and a Prophet, so they say.
Is He just a man?
His words and acts and miracles display
Authority from God and love for everyone;
Religious leaders, testing Him,
Reject this holy one.
His words bring truth and life.
But scholars smear His name.
Theologians cannot see,
While humble fools proclaim,

We can see God’s glory;
We are walking now with Christ the King.
As we see Him heal the wounded,
As we hear the broken-hearted sing.
We can see God’s glory;
He, who once was dead, became our Life.
We will seek His face more strongly;
We have touched the Kingdom, Jesus Christ.

Here they are again,
The witnesses of Jesus take their stand;
Whom the Lord did send,
To equip the saints throughout the land.
Foundation thus restored, to keep the doctrine one.
To bring order to the Church,
Until their task is done.
God gave them to the church
For perfect unity
Til manifested sons of God
Come to maturity.

We can see God’s glory;
We are walking now with Christ the King.
As we see Him heal the wounded,
As we hear the broken-hearted sing.
We can see God’s glory;
He, who once was dead, became our Life.
We will seek His face more strongly;
We have touched the Kingdom, Jesus Christ.

Inspired by the Steve Green Song, “We Have Seen God’s Glory,” which works well in a medley with this song.
