“Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

Once you have been born again, it’s normal for you to want to know Jesus Christ better. It’s normal for you to be drawn to the supernatural nature of Christ. It’s abnormal for you to be satisfied with the natural when God has promised supernatural blessings, health, and life. You want your relationship with Christ to be meaningful. You want more than just a feeling of His presence. You want His leading. You want more than just using God as a vending machine where you make your requests and hope to get what you want. You want to know Him and His love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, inner strength, knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

“If they had stood before me and listened to me, they would have spoken my words, and they would have turned my people from their evil ways and deeds” (Jeremiah 23:22).

If you want to hear God’s voice and speak God’s words, stand before Him and listen to Him. It’s not difficult to understand.

“Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards (pays back) those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6.

“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me” (Jeremiah 29:13).

What makes it hard to hear God’s voice? Listening to the wrong voice.

You have the choice. Whose voice will you listen to? Will you listen to your carnal mind and all the presuppositions  planted by demon forces, or will you listen to God. God tells you He exists. God tells you, He will speak to you. He says these things through the Bible and every means of divine revelation mentioned in the Bible. Your carnal mind is a skeptic that was programmed by demon forces. It doubts. Doubting God will cause you to have trouble hearing God. Turn your attention to Jesus. He will assure you that God is real. He tells you that God will answer when you ask Him a question. He’ll be there when you want to stand in His presence listening for His voice.

Follow the by grace through faith way.

Ask God to answer these questions.

1. What does it mean to know Jesus better?
2. What are some supernatural things you can learn from Jesus, like love and joy?
3. How can you hear God’s voice?
4. What makes it hard to hear God’s voice?
5. What does it mean to listen to the wrong voice?

Bonus questions:

1. How do you know God will speak to you?
2. What happens when you seek God with your whole heart?
3. What should you do if you have doubts about God?

1. Pray for the Lord to protect you and keep you in His presence and His presence only.
2. Direct your mind toward the Lord only.
3. Ask God the two questions and take notes on what God says. “What lies to I believe about myself?” “What is true about myself?”
4. Do not edit or change what God says even if you don’t understand it.
5. Out loud, reject the lies.
6. Out loud receive the truth. .
7. Start your own personal transformation journey journal. This will be a journal that you will continue to use for your whole life. It could be on paper or digital and can be as fancy as you like. Make a daily entry about how faith is working in your life Transfer your notes to your journal without editing what God said to you.

Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love.

Flow Chart Exercise

Create a flow chart suitable for this lesson on a relationship with God. Review the article at the start of this unit. You can review the instructions for flow charting in the appendix. Next, find the main points and put them on your flow chart. Then, add sub-points in between. The little picture shows a very simple flow chart, but sometimes flow charts don’t just go in one direction. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in this. (Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.) Take what you learned, your notes or what you produced and videotape yourself. Become a kid influencer for Christ with your own social media platform by uploading your video as God leads.
