God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love.

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest His deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that His deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God” (John 3:14-21).

Those who refuse to come to Christ refuse because they want to do what they want to do. Someone may protest and say, “My deeds are not evil. I do what’s right.” Jesus ran into religious people who said the same thing. In Romans 14:23, when Paul was writing about food offered to idols, he mentioned a universal truth. He said that whatever is not of faith is sin. Put that together with what you already know about faith and how faith is completed in grace doing God’s works through you. Anything that God didn’t tell you to do and do through you is sin. Sin is stepping off the Path. The Path is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Word the Father speaks and He authors and finishes the work of God’s faith in you.

Ask God to answer these questions.

1. What does it mean for you to never disconnect from God?
2. What does it mean for you to have eternal life?
3. Why did God send His Son (His Word) into the world?
4. What happens to people who don’t believe in Jesus?
5. Why do some people love darkness instead of light?

Bonus questions:

1. What does it mean for you to do what God tells you to do?
2. What does Paul mean when he says, “whatever is not of faith is sin”?
3. How can you experience God’s flow of knowledge, wisdom, and love in your daily life and stay connected to God?
4. How does your belief affect the process of your salvation?
5. How does your belief affect your relationship with God?
6. What is the light that has come into the world?
7. What does it mean to practice evil and to hate the light?

1. Pray for the Lord to protect you and keep you in His presence and His presence only.
2. Direct your mind toward the Lord only.
3. Ask God what He want’s to talk about.
4. You can ask God any questions. In all of this, be led by the Holy Spirit. God promises that He will answer you if you ask Him.
5. Do not edit or change what God says even if you don’t understand it.
6. Reject the lies and receive the truth.
7. Take notes.
8. Transfer your notes to your journal without editing what God said to you.
