Jesus answered. “For this reason I was born and have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to My voice.” (John 18:37). He said, “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Father” (Matthew 4:4).  He said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27) and “Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God” (John 8:47)

John wrote about Jesus and said, “The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, yet the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:9-12). Here’s some guidance from the Law: “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you” (Deuteronomy 4:2). Jesus is the Light, and He gives light to everyone. Some people acknowledge Jesus, and He directs their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Others refuse to acknowledge Jesus, and they go into darkness. (Romans 1:19-32) The reason they go into darkness is that the human mind is useless, deceptive, and evil without God. Without God, the human mind is Godless.

God created everything by speaking. He spoke the world into existence.

God speaks to you because that’s how He starts things. He won’t force Himself on you, but He needs you to cooperate with Him. He asks you to look for Him and find Him. Everyone who keeps seeking God finds God.

Ask God to answer these questions.

1. What does it mean for you to “belong to the truth”?
2. How can you hear God’s voice more clearly than you do now?
3. How can you help a friend to look for and find God?
4. Since Jesus gives light to everyone and all wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him, what does that tell you about an atheist who has wisdom or knowledge on a certain subject? (Note that although much of what ungodly intellectuals and experts say is false, they are right sometimes.)
5. Why do some people not acknowledge Jesus?

Bonus questions:

1. What does it mean that God created everything by speaking?
2. Why does God ask you to cooperate with Him?
3. What does it mean for you to cooperate with God?
4. Why does the Bible say the human mind is evil without God?
5. What happens to people who continue to refuse to acknowledge Jesus?

Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love.

1. Pray for the Lord to protect you and keep you in His presence and His presence only.
2. Direct your mind toward the Lord only.
3. Ask God what He want’s to talk about.
4. You can ask God any questions. In all of this, be led by the Holy Spirit. God promises that He will answer you if you ask Him.
5. Do not edit or change what God says even if you don’t understand it.
6. Reject the lies and receive the truth.
7. Take notes.
8. Transfer your notes to your journal without editing what God said to you.

Keep in mind that God doesn’t want you to ever disconnect from Him. He wants to flow through you constantly in knowledge, wisdom, and love.

Activity Diagram Exercise

Create an activity diagram suitable for this unit. (Activity Diagram (UML Info)) Activity diagrams show the a sequence of activities. The first thing that happens is usually at the top. That is followed by the second thing, then the third, fourth, and so on. There can be dividing bars and decisions along the way. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in this. (Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.) Take what you learned, your notes or what you produced and videotape yourself. Become a kid influencer for Christ with your own social media platform by uploading your video as God leads.
