The rich man came to Jesus and asked what he must do
For he’d obeyed the orders and the laws from early youth
And he desired the Kingdom until that very day,
When Jesus said sell all you have and give it all away.
Lay down your own kingdoms. Submit to Christ above.
Take your cross follow Him. Let Him reign in love.
The Kingdom is one, one under the Son.
Lay down your little kingdom and exalt the Holy One.
You have asked for vision, eyes that you may see,
And you have seen that God has called the church to unity,
But quickly, you discover the cost is very high.
The Kingdom costs you everything, it’s something you must buy.
